Who We Are
Valery Touchet is a Cameroonian, award-winning, sustainable fashion designer and founder of VTCreation. Inspired by nature, Valery is an advocate for working with natural materials, textures and colours and runs workshops on sustainable fashion and upcycling.
Valery is a passionate community champion, running sustainable fashion workshops, helping the community to understand more about the pitfalls of 'fast-fashion' and how easy it is to upcycle existing garments into brand new outfits, accessories and household goods.
Valery was part of the Manchester Craft & Design Centre's 'Hands On 2023', a programme of support to help launch the careers of three makers who identify as underrepresented in Craft. You can now visit VT Creation's Studio at Manchester Craft & Design Centre, where you will find Valery’s textile creations include shibori scarves, fashionwear, artwork, cushion covers, hair scrunchies and zipper pouches.
